I fell in love with the Cane Corso in 2000 when I went to my buddy’s house. I got to his house and he was like I got a surprise for you. When I
saw his dog I was fascinated with the breed from that point on. I have tried to learn everything about the breed that I can. I can’t even tell you how many countless hours that I have spent on the phone talking to
other breeders. I have met a lot of people along the way and I hope to meet many more. I have personally been mentored by Clint Aska from
Mill Reef Cane Corsos. I owe a lot to him. He knows about this breed and he
shared a lot of that knowledge with me. I am following in the footsteps that he laid for me.

In 2003 I decided to take a different approach with this breed. I had seen many Cane Corsos but I wasn’t seeing a lot of consistency with the breed. I decided to import my dogs from all true Italian bloodlines. I researched a lot of breeders and I found one of the best and most reputable breeders in this breed. I imported my foundation dogs from Dei Silvanbull kennels in Germany. Sandra Schmidt in my opinion has some of the best bloodlines in this breed. All my dogs have true Italian paperwork through the FCI & ENCI. I highly recommend that you register with these clubs but you can register them with others like the
ICCF as well. I knew that importing meant starting over in my breeding program but it was all worth it. I am proud to say that the dogs that I have now come from Champion bloodlines from throughout Italy. I hope through my kennel to better the breed.
